Citizens for a Healthy Bay
started as a small group of volunteers and relies
|
 |

 |
on volunteers today to further our mission by
cleaning up, protecting, and restoring Commencement Bay. CHB offers
opportunities for people of all ages to get involved in real, make-a-difference
activities. Opportunities to plant, remove invasive weeds, and pick up trash
around the Bay take place at various times throughout the year. Storm drain
marking is an activity that groups and families can do on their own time in
their own neighborhood in the drier months. We also train site stewards to go
to one of several restoration sites once a quarter to be our eyes on how the
site is doing. There is enough variety that no matter your time, commitment
level, or age we can most likely accommodate you and your interests.
Volunteers have the opportunity to be trained in
plant identification at one of our restoration sites.
