Clean Boating Campaign
Restoring and protecting the vitality of Commencement Bay is a shared responsibility. The Clean Boating Campaign is an educational program designed to provide boaters with the knowledge and tools they need to exercise their personal responsibility to reduce waterway pollution. Through well intended, many boaters are unaware of the impacts they have on Commencement Bay.
In 2005 Citizens for a Healthy Bay launched a program aimed at boater education. During the past three years over one thousand Clean Water kits were distributed to local marinas.
