Join us on Saturday, June 13 through Wednesday, June 17 for our first ever online Cheers to a Healthy Bay Auction! Have any questions or looking for more information on the event? Check out our frequently asked questions below.
WHEN IS THE ONLINE EVENT?
CHB’s online Cheers to a Healthy Bay will go live Saturday evening, June 13, at 5:00 p.m., and will conclude on Wednesday, June 17, at 8:00 p.m. We will send out a notification to our email list when the event goes live. If you aren’t on our email list, sign up here.
HOW DO I BID ON ITEMS?
In order to participate in the online auction, please register here for a bidding account. Follow the link, and then select the “Start Bidding” button in the top right corner.
HOW DO I RAISE MY PADDLE?
Help CHB meet our goal of raising $50,000! Your tax-deductible donations directly support our critical work protecting our communities and waters in South Puget Sound. Donations can be made on our Online Auction website here. Support our work today!
HOW DO I KEEP TRACK OF MY BIDS AND ITEMS THAT I WON?
The best way to get a real time view of your bids, won items, and other transactions during the event, is to head to your dashboard by clicking the menu icon in the top left side of the online bidding page.
I WON AN ITEM, BUT I DON’T SEE ANYTHING ON MY BANK ACCOUNT. DID I ACTUALLY WIN THE ITEM?
Great question! You will not see the charge reflected on your bank account until the auction as concluded, so even if you won an item on the first day, you won’t see the charge until after the event is over.
IS MY GIFT TAX DEDUCTIBLE?
Citizens for a Healthy Bay is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization, and donations made in support of our work during the paddle raise are tax-deductible. For any auction items won at the event, any amount you paid over the fair market value is tax deductible.
HOW WILL I RECEIVE THE ITEM THAT I WON?
We are currently working on a system that gets everyone’s items to them in a safe and timely manner. Check back soon for details!
WHAT DOES CITIZENS FOR A HEALTHY BAY DO?
For 30 years, Citizens for a Healthy Bay has brought people together to achieve a clean and healthy Commencement Bay that benefits both our community and the surrounding ecosystem that calls Puget Sound home.
We work closely with county and local government agencies, members of the community, businesses, and other nonprofit organizations to serve as an unbiased positive voice for the health and welfare of Commencement Bay and South Puget Sound.
