Nature Filmmaking
Saturday, October 21st, 2023
10:00am – 2:00pm
Communities for a Healthy Bay Office/ Thea Foss Park
Help us make a film that will play as part of the January 2024 NW Sinfonietta performance! For this EJC we will watch films inspired by nature and then go out to the water and on the water (weather permitting) to collect video footage to go along with the different movements of a musical composition that will be performed by the NW Sinfonietta. The footage will go to an editor who will put the finishing touches on the film. Participants will receive free tickets to the Sinfonietta performance in January. We will meet at the Communities for a Healthy Bay office at 535 Dock Street and will be spending part of the day outside in Thea Foss Park and on our Bay Patrol boat.
We will be outside for most of the day and shoes are likely to get wet so students should bring warm layers, rain jackets, rain pants, and waterproof shoes. Please let us know in this form if you would like to borrow any gear.
This program is free and lunch will be provided. We can provide gas cards upon request. Registration is required. Please be mindful of students on the wait list and let us know if you are no longer able to attend.
Please complete a form for each student registering.
* Registration does not ensure a space in the program. You will be notified within a week when your registration is confirmed.Families are invited to attend, but the program will be directed at students and space on boat rides will be prioritized for youth participants.
