CHB’s online 20th Cheers to a Healthy Bay will go live Friday evening, May 21, at 5:00 p.m., and will conclude on Saturday, May 29th, at 8:00 p.m. We will send out notifications to our email list and via social media leading up to the event. If you are not on our email list, sign up here.

You can visit the auction website here to pre-register and see what we have to offer. The auction goes LIVE on Friday May 21st at 5pm make sure you are register in order bid.

To bid on an item in the online auction, please register here for a bidding account. Follow the link, and then select the “Get Started” button in the center of the page. Once registered, you are all set to bid on items when the auction goes live on Friday, May 21st at 5pm!

Help CHB meet our Raise the Paddle goal of $10,000 by raising your paddle virtually via the auction website. Every donation will help cover the costs associated with CHB’s lawsuit over pollution from Electron Dam to enforce the Federal Clean Water Act.

Any raise the paddle donation over $250 will automatically enter the donor for a chance to win a 4-Night stay at the Mayan Palace Resort Mexico! Choose from any of the following destination: Acapulco, Cancun-Riviera Maya, Nuevo Vallarta or Puerto Penasco.

Our Cheers to a Healthy Bay benefit auction is our largest fundraising event of the year, funds from this event directly support our efforts to hold Electron Dam company accountable for its devastating pollution in the Puyallup River, fight the expansion of oil companies and their climate pollution here in Tacoma, and provide program support for our Environmental Justice Camp for Girls.

The best way to get a real time view of your bids, won items, and other transactions during the event, is to head to your dashboard by clicking the menu icon in the top left corner of the auction bid page.

Great question! You will not see the charge reflected on your bank account until the auction as concluded, so even if you won an item on the first day, you will not see the charge until after the event is over. Purchases will be processed the week following the close of the auction on Saturday, May 29th.

Citizens for a Healthy Bay is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization, and donations made in support of our work during the paddle raise are tax-deductible. For any auction items won at the event, any amount you paid over the fair market value is tax deductible. A receipt will be emailed with this information once your purchase is processed following the event.

Winning bidders will be contacted by CHB to arrange for mailing and/or pick-up of item(s) following the auction.

For 30 years, Citizens for a Healthy Bay has brought people together to achieve a clean and healthy Commencement Bay that benefits both our community and the surrounding ecosystem that calls Puget Sound home.

We work closely with county and local government agencies, members of the community, businesses, and other nonprofit organizations to serve as an unbiased positive voice for the health and welfare of Commencement Bay and South Puget Sound.
