Dear elected official,
One year ago, the City Council initiated a process to review and assess the future of the Tacoma Tideflats. The first outcome was establishing interim regulations to pause new fossil fuel infrastructure for twelve months and the second was to begin a subarea planning process. Although I am pleased with the City’s action on the interim regulations, I am deeply concerned about the lack of progress on completing the Interlocal Agreement (ILA), preventing the facilitation of the subarea planning process.
