Communities for a Healthy Bay Announces Logan Danzek as New Policy Manager
Tacoma, WA – August 17, 2023 – Communities for a Healthy Bay (CHB), is delighted to announce the appointment of Logan Danzek as its new Policy Manager. Logan brings a wealth of expertise in environmental stewardship and public health, making him an excellent fit for CHB’s mission to preserve and protect Commencement Bay and South Sound’s waterways.
A Southern California native, Logan’s commitment to environmental protection began amidst the scenic backdrops of Yosemite and Sequoia national parks and was further reinforced by an asthma diagnosis likely caused by fossil fuel emissions. An alumnus of the prestigious Evans School of Public Policy and Governance, Logan has demonstrated a profound understanding of climate policy, environmental justice, and policy design.
Logan’s prior endeavors include shaping King County’s approach to a sustainable circular economy and bridging critical aid for refugee families across Washington State. As CHB’s Policy Manager, he is poised to use his vast knowledge to advocate for policies that blend sound science with community interests, thereby advancing CHB’s vision for a healthier, more sustainable Tacoma.
“We are thrilled to welcome Logan to the CHB family. His diverse experience and unwavering commitment to merging environmental and health perspectives will undoubtedly steer us towards our goals,” said Melissa Malott, CHB’s Executive Director.
Outside of his professional realm, Logan is an adventurer, culinary enthusiast, and film lover, embodying a multifaceted approach that CHB believes will resonate with the Tacoma community.
